The Padres have only been around since 1969 so their history is very limited. Other than Tony Gywnn and Dave Winfield...most of these names are unrecognizable. From what I read...Nate Colbert was a very underrated power hitter and Garry Templeton was penalized for being labeled the guy that was traded for Ozzie Smith in the early 1980's. He was a solid player also. But it's all about Tony Gwynn..baby! He is the San Diego Padres.
