The Minnesota Twins heyday was in the 1980's with their two World Series rings but the majority of their legendary stars play in the 1960's when they also had solid teams. Some considered Rod Carew the greatest pure hitter of all time (pound per pound). He hit over .380 one year. Yeah...that is pretty pure hitting. You also have the late great Kirby Puckett whose time (career and life) came too soon. This is nice solid lineup.

Typical American League lineup. A whole lot of offense with a little bit of defense. Lou Whitaker and Alan Trammell was a pretty good double combination along with their offense. Hank Greenberg was a straight-up slugger who smash the ball with the best of them. This is a very underrated lineup offensively. This lineup could even score in the spacious Comerica Park.

Do you know that the Kansas City Royals are to some baseball experts as the the American League team of the 1970's? Viewing this montage...you will get a ideal of why. The whole batting lineup playing during the 1970's (including the pitcher). And that success in the 70's lasted through the mid-80's. Those were some great teams. But they are long forgotten (except for Brett) considering the present state of the franchise. Long live the memories.

Aaaah...the distant step-sister to the Yankees. Yeah...right! If you put the all-time lineup of the Red Sox right beside the all-time lineup of the Yankees...the Red Sox might have a better lineup. As a matter of fact...this might be the best all-time lineup in the history of baseball. This is a very, very, very underrated lineup. David Ortiz might get some votes over Mo Vaughn but I think Vaughn in his prime was a slightly better player and I mean very slightly. Nonetheless...scary lineup.

Very solid lineup. Solid defensively and offensively. This lineup is represented in every decade just about. (even going back to the St. Louis Browns days). George Sisler to Cal Ripken Jr. The Orioles has a overall winning tradition that nobody wants to talk about. Especially with their recent struggles...this montage brings back memories.

This is one mean lineup. Kenny Lofton and Andre Thornton could've made this lineup but I had to make for all the sluggers that decorate the history of the Indians. They should've won at least one World Series ring in the 1990's. Plus...I couldn't leave out Larry Doby. And Manny Ramirez may have been at his finest during this time period which is scary.

The Southsiders have always been overshadowed by their Northside rivals (Cubs) but this lineup proves that the legendary White Sox lineup should not back down from nobody. The crux of this lineup have lead the Palehose to two World Series winning one of them. Ozzie Guillen could've made this team...but Luke Aparicio? Ozzie was pretty good...but come on.

The history of the Milwaukee Brewers is rooted in the American League even though they're currently in the National League so I included a DH in their all-time lineup.
To the exception of Geoff Jenkins..every player in this lineup played on the 1982 team that made the World Series(Harvey's Wallbangers). Since I am lifelong Cardinals fan and the Cards had to face this bunch in that World Series...I was scared to death. But my Cards prevailed. I don't know how but they pulled it out. As you will see in this montage...the Brew Crew have some sluggers. Very underrated lineup.

A solid American League lineup. This team would probably score runs like a pinball machine in the old Kingdome. By the way...Harold Reynolds was a pretty good player in his day. No...I'm not related to him and I don't know him personally. I'm just saying.

The Rangers are a relatively young franchise and their reputation of having successful seasons is very limited. But this lineup is loaded with players that can hit the ball to the moon. Surprisingly...the one player that is the most impressive in that regard is Frank Howard. Most of his time with the Rangers was when the team was known as the Washington Senators. This man was about 6 foot 8 and weighed 295 pounds. I mean...what is the heck? In terms of hitting....the Rangers may contend with being the greatest of all-time.

Let's talk some "Bash Brothers"!

The Oakland A's teams of the late 1960's and the late 1980's pretty much make up this lineup. These guys can HIT! But you do have your defensive wizards in Bert Campaneris and Sal Bando. Probably the best pure hitter in this lineup didn't play on those A's teams of the last 40 years. That's Jimmy Foxx. And he played a while ago.

This is a very effective batting order. There is a lot of power and some speed. People have a tendency to forget those good Blue Jay teams in 1980's.
